Consultation Course - Details
* Formerly the Safety Committee Course
Employers must ensure that every member of the OH&S Committee and every OH & S Representative undertake Consultation Training. This course satisfies the requirements of c.21-32 of the OH&S Regulation 2001.
This course must be completed as soon as possible and within three months of election or appointment.
Topics include:-
- Workplace health & safety.
- The Role of Consultation in the Workplace.
- Effective OH&S Consultation in the Workplace.
- Systematic Management of Health & Safety.
- Action Learning Exercise.
- Continuous Improvement of OH&S systems.
- Summary & Conclusion
Delivery
Course delivery time is four days of six hours each, plus breaks.
The course includes
- Q&A sessions
- Group activities
- Field visit to real Workplace
- PowerPoint presentations
This is a mandatory course for any OH & S personnel and is designed to be as stimulating as possible.
